LATAM & Caribbean Market Entry for US Brands
You can see the demand in Latin America. What's missing is a clear answer to three questions: which country first, what media actually works there, and how to test it without betting the whole budget. We've been answering them from Miami since 2008.
International media agency since 2008 · Headquarters in Miami, with representatives in Venezuela, Mexico, Brazil and Spain · Every Caribbean territory
Latin America isn't one market
Most US brands approach the region the same way: translate the US campaign, put a paid-social budget behind it, and wait. When the numbers come back weak, the conclusion is that "the market isn't there." Usually the market is there. The approach was wrong.
Every country is different.
Mexican Spanish isn't Puerto Rican Spanish. Brazil runs in Portuguese. Haiti needs French and Haitian Creole. Media habits, regulators and costs change at every border.
Picking the first country is a guess.
It's often chosen by population size or by whoever on the team knows the place, not by audience, competition and media cost.
Local media is hard to buy from the outside.
Broadcast, radio, outdoor and local publishers each work differently in each country, and it's hard to check what actually ran.
There's no one to call.
When something goes wrong, your US agency doesn't have people in the market.
A phased way in, with an exit at every step
You don't sign a long contract on day one. Each phase ends with a clear recommendation, and you decide whether to keep going.

01
Market diagnostic
We look at one country, or compare two or three, before you spend on media: who your audience is, how they consume media, what competitors are doing, and any regulatory or cultural flags. You get a written diagnostic, a debrief call and a straight recommendation on where to start, or whether to wait.
-
02
Local media plan & strategy
We turn the diagnostic into a plan you can run: channels, specific media, calendar and budget by channel, plus messaging adapted for each country and language. We agree the KPIs and how we'll measure them before anything goes live.
-
03
90-day pilot
We launch with a controlled budget, optimize as results come in and review with you at the halfway point. At the end you get a report against the agreed KPIs and a recommendation: scale, adjust or stop.
-
04
Scale
If the pilot works, we build the ongoing plan, keep optimizing and add countries using the same method.
Every engagement is scoped to the client. We agree up front what we handle, what your team handles and where local partners come in.

What does a LATAM market entry engagement with MGG include?
It runs in four phases: a market diagnostic for one or more countries, a local media plan and strategy, a pilot campaign of about 90 days, and then scale. You can stop after any phase. The exact scope, and who does what between your team, ours and local partners, is agreed with each client before we start.
Which country should we enter first?
That is what the diagnostic answers. We compare audience, media landscape, competitor activity and regulatory or cultural flags for the countries you are considering, then recommend where to start, with which channels and messages. Sometimes the answer is to wait.
How long does it take?
The diagnostic and the media plan take a few weeks, depending on how many countries are involved. The pilot runs for about 90 days, with a mid-point review and a final report that tells you whether to scale, adjust or stop.
Do you have people on the ground in Latin America?
Our headquarters is in Miami. We have representatives in Mexico, Brazil, Venezuela and Spain, cover every Caribbean territory, and work with local partners when a project needs them. You deal with one team in a US time zone.
Can you work in Portuguese, French and Haitian Creole?
Yes. We adapt messaging and campaigns country by country: local Spanish for each Spanish-speaking market, Portuguese for Brazil, English for the English-speaking Caribbean, and French and Haitian Creole for Haiti.
We already have a US agency. Can you work alongside them?
Yes. We don't need to replace your agency. We bring the local media knowledge, country context and Caribbean coverage, and coordinate with your existing team.
How much does it cost?
It depends on the number of countries and the scope. The market diagnostic is a fixed fee that we quote after a first call. Pilot and ongoing work are priced per project, with media investment budgeted separately.
Not sure where to start? Start with one country.
Tell us what you sell and where you're thinking of going. We'll come back with a short proposal for a market diagnostic, or tell you honestly if it's too early.
